Girard-Perregaux and Aston Martin have unveiled a new timepiece, the Neo Bridges Aston Martin Edition on the first day of the 6th edition of Dubai Watch Week. This creation marks a milestone in their official partnership, redefining the ‘bridge’ element and infusing it with the DNA of Aston Martin’s next-generation sportscars. The latest addition to the Bridges collection draws inspiration from the sleek contours of Aston Martin’s flagship Super Tourer, the DB12.
This exclusive timepiece houses the Calibre GP0840000-2164 movement with an inverted configuration, revealing components typically hidden at the watch’s rear. The watch discards a traditional dial, inviting wearers to admire its intricate movement, accentuated by Neo-shaped bridges supporting the gear train and balance. Reflecting Aston Martin’s signature green colour, luminescent materials adorn the hands and suspended indexes, paying homage to the automotive world where weight reduction is paramount. The watch’s 45mm titanium case, coated in black DLC, serves as a sleek canvas for the vibrant interplay of colours and intricate movement.
The collaboration between Girard-Perregaux and Aston Martin announced in 2021, has already resulted in exceptional timepieces bearing the imprints of both marques.
