Watches and Wonders 2023: Rolex Drops Two New GMT-Master II Executions

Rolex expands its GMT-Master II collection with two new iterations: one clad in 18 kt yellow gold and Oystersteel and the other in yellow gold. Both are equipped with a Cerachrom bezel insert in gray and black ceramic. Intended to evoke the passage of the sun and the alternation of day and night, this is an entirely new color combination the GMT-Master II.

A second time zone is indicated using an arrow-tipped 24-hour hand. This hand, the hour markers and the other hands are made from 18 kt yellow gold and create an elegant contrast with the black lacquer dial.

Also new is the material-coordinated Jubilee bracelet, a five-piece link bracelet equipped with an Oysterlock folding safety clasp. It includes an Easylink comfort extension link, which allows the wearer to adjust the its length by approximately 5mm.

The GMT Master II’s Oyster case has a diameter of 40mm and is water-resistant to 100 meters. At its heart ticks the Rolex Caliber 3285 with a power reserve of 70 hours and a precision rate of -2/+2 sec per day in accordance with the brand’s Superlative Chronometer certification.

Pricing for the two-toned Rolex GMT Master II in yellow gold and Oystersteel is marked at $16,450 while the all-yellow gold version retails for $38,900.
